Notes on Grief by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
3.0
challenging reflective sad fast-paced

"I want there to be a point even if I do not know for now what that point is."

In Notes on Grief, the author recalls fond memories of her father after his passing in 2020. Nigerian born Chimamanda, expresses her guilt and disbelif in the aftermath as well as attests to hher fathers moral character.

I have not yet lost my parents and I dread the day it happens. I can see myself not being able to function anymore, sitting in a corner in the house not moving, staring into space. But I can also see myself accepting, and while never truly "moving on", at least finding some solace in knowing that it is a part of life.

I find that reading stories like these can make the journey to that dreadful day a lot easier.
