How to Survive a Horror Movie by Seth Grahame-Smith

4.0

One of my absolute favorites that I regularly return to. This book cleverly uses horror's beloved stereotypes to insert readers into its universe. High re-read value and severely entertaining.

I think a lot of people have compared it (unfairly, since it's like comparing apples and screwdrivers) to the more serious-minded Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, so it's pertinent to know this isn't a book that will teach you actual "survival skills" - it's a field guide to surviving horror tropes, not an immunobiological outbreak.

It is not grounded in reality. Take it for what it is - a comedic jaunt through horror classics.
