Heart Strings

I very much appreciated that she was a curvy Latina but I just found this to be flat as a story. I liked the first book more, possibly because Callum was so precious. The mother character was unhinged and super toxic, texting her daughter that her boyfriend was going to leave her — that was absolutely awful and left unexamined.
The MMC in this really didn’t have flaws or development, he came ready to love her and appreciate her as his queen. Normally I’d love that but I think the writing just didn’t hook me as the female mainly worked through things in her head as logically as she could. Cover art was hot though.
