I wish they were lesbians who fell in love and ran away with each other.
But nope, the story is so devastating and heartbreaking, imperfectly capturing the complexities of female friendships, and the politics & strugg es of being a woman, it must be so hopeless and lonely.
I just read the spoilers for the other 3 books in the series and guess I have to stop for a while because I can't accept THAT ambiguous ending.
I love Lila so much, I hope she has everything she ever wanted, but unfortunately her spiral into madness broke me so much.
Please play Girls are so confusing by Charlie XCX while reading this book.
