The House of Hades by Rick Riordan

5.0

*non-spoiler* = i loved the whole entirety of the book. i just loved this. i love how percabeth's emotions were left raw. i love how each character got to display their powers and how each character was shown to have weaknesses at times. it portrays such a vulnerable realism to their essence.

LISTEN I AM REALLY ANTICIPATING THE NEXT BOOK I CANT WAIT TO PICK IT UP!! P.S. I AM VERY
TRAUMATIZED AS WELL AS HEARTENED BY THIS BOOK AND I JUST LOVE THESE CHARACTERS SO SO SO SO MUCH.

I LIVE, BREATHE, EAT, KILL, LOVE FOR THESE CHARACTERS

*spoiler* =
Spoilerlisten up! the tartarus scenes were really hard to watch but i am grateful because the time in tartarus helped them more freely embrace their love, care and affection for each other. i really enjoyed all the monster-fighting from the other characters' POVs and them discovering their own multiple talents and specialties. reyna as well! I'm so glad she trusts annabeth and decided to believe her note. and um....i cant not talk about this...but um.....LEO AND CALYPSO?!?!?!?!?!?!?! yeah im dying here and i cannot deal with the fact of how quickly rick made this happen. especially remembering how much leo felt like an outcast and how much he wanted to love someone made that experience to ogygia so much better! tbh it felt like the only somewhat light-hearted parts of the book and I'm so grateful for that. also, ill be honest here, but the ending was a little disappointing. like with the giant and all. see i loved how hazel got her time to shine and the entry of the crew but, idk why, it still felt a tiny bit disappointing. AND IM SORRY BUT BOB?!??!?! I CANNOT FORGET BOB!! OMG BOB. tell the sun and stars i say hello AND THEN PERCY GOES bob says hello, he said to the stars OMG IM CRYING I CANT DO THIS. THE WAY THIS BOOK TAUGHT ME KINDNESS IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER!

i cannot say anything else otherwise my heart will overload with every emotion out there. i love this.
