The Lioness
by Chris Bohjalian
After their marriage Hollywood star Katie Barstow and her husband take a group of their friends to Africa for a photography safari and things turn horribly wrong.
I picked up THE LIONESS because I’m a fan of Chris Bohjalian and, once again, he did not disappoint. Set in 1964, this book is part historical fiction and part thriller and I was hooked. I figured parts of the plot out but there was one twist I didn’t see coming. There are some social issues in the book so it would be a great book club selection.
