The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead
3.0

That Awkward Moment when you paid for a Fae Court and got a Selection slash Sidney Sheldon type world. Sure I got more than what I bargained for, but I wouldn't call this journey boring..yet! Not to say it was so fantastic either. Warren , let's just say that the character is too one-dimensional to hold the power of a villain. And now, when a story ends in good terms, I don't tempt its fate and buy the sequel. And as much an enjoyable read as this was, for the most part, i'm not particularly interested in knowing about the lives of any of the characters more than I know now. And that could possibly be one of the negatives of this being a series. After all, how could you expect anyone to read your books if they weren't interested? I'm glad this didn't end in a cliffhanger just for the sake of it, but i'm also done with this journey especially when you can't even have Fae accompany you through the perilous trails. But, well i'm surprised Richelle could write like this: Language style is beautiful, that is; not The Infernal Devices kind of beautiful but definitely more than the Vampire Academy.
