Once again I loved the latest installment of The Thursday Murder Club and the adventures that they got up to. The book made me laugh and tear up as always but kept me on my toes and intrigued me with all of the mystery within this book.

I have to start by saying that Stephen has quickly become one of my favourite characters within these books. He is the sweetest soul and his games of chess with Bogdan that are riddled with gossip always make me smile.
However, when Bogdan asked him to play chess and Stephen replied with 'Oh that's Elizabeth's game', I did tear up. Seeing him diminish so quickly now into his dementia is heartbreaking and I really don't want Elizabeth or Bogdan to lose him because I really don't think they'll cope.

The Thursday murder club had some great friendship moments though.
Elizabeth finally admitting that Joyce was her friend or Ibrahim and Joyce walking Alan was great. It was nice to see Ibrahim out and about now after his attack and it is so sweet how he attaches himself to Ron when he's lonely. I did enjoy Connie being reintroduced into these stories. Ibrahim being her therapist was amazing. She is a great villain and the reveal of her killing Heather and replicating a letter in her own words to get time off her sentence was great.

In terms of the overall twist, it wasn't one I saw coming.
I knew Pauline was hiding something and her seeing Bethany on the night she 'died' confirmed the twist that she actually was alive. Andrew Everton being her killer and then killing Jack Mason was interesting. Not that he actually killed Bethany but you know. Again I did find myself struggling to understand who was who sometimes but not as much as the last time, the main person being Jack Mason.
However, everyone had their value which was great.

Bogdan and Donna are absolutely adorable. Them admitting that they are in love was cute and it was nice for Donna to find someone and for the focus to be on her compared to Chris and Donna in the last book. I do really hope that they stay together.

Joyce naming her book after Gerry and her having a crush on the Welsh guy was funny. The woman just needs a partner. I loved her sentiments to Gerry and the fact that she always wants her daughter to visit is sad but very Joyce. I do hope to keep reading about Joyce finding her WHsmith's in the train station because that is always hillarious to read. I was shocked that Victor was an ex of Elizabeth's and loved her still. Is there any ex that isn't obsessed with her? 🤣. Also when the Viking broke in and Alan made a fuss of him instead of barking was funny and as Joyce said 'he trusts everyone.'

I did really enjoy this book and I felt like I guessed parts of the plot which was nice. I starting to recognise that when you reach the last 50 pages in Richard Osman's books, you know that all is going to be revealled. The name of the book however was linked early on. '
The bullet that missed' being how Elizabeth tried to frame the murder of Victor but she didn't shoot the bullet through the wall to make it look like she had shot him in the head. As well as the bullet mailed to Bethany having Chris' name on it also
. I just adore these books and I love reading more about these crazy pensioners and their antics. If anything happens to any of them, in particular Stephen or Alan, I may just cry my eyes out.
