I actually took a leap of faith on The September House. I usually read SFF. Though ghost stories do fall under some sort of Speculative Fantasy as Paranormal, I don't normally read ghost stories.

I actually tried it, because I seen it pop out at me at the library right after I seen a popular Booktuber with it.

The first 100 or so pages of this book was amazing! The rest of the book dragged so much.

This book has some humor with it for sure. Most of this humor is in the first third of the novel.

⅔ of this book absolutely dragged!!

I was satisfied with the resolution of the last 10 pages or so.

The author did very well with surprising the reader and with evoking suspense. I just thing she dragged that suspense out much too long. The payoff was corny and also dragged out.

I love the quirky font of the parentheses and exclamation points.
