What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez

4.0

Overall, I found that I enjoyed this book. I didn’t go into it with any expectations and surprisingly enjoyed the gradual storyline build-up that many have seemed to view as slow. The latter section of the book definitely brought action that I wasn’t necessarily anticipating (at some points it seemed a bit excessive compared to the prior contents), and I found myself questioning how much more could be covered in the last 20 pages. The cliffhanger definitely threw me for a loop and I look forward to the release of the second book.
