This book takes readers on a wild ride through the eerie medieval village of Lapvona, filled with depravity and disturbing characters. While the start had me intrigued and hooked, the story lost momentum around the halfway mark, leaving me feeling disconnected. I have appreciation for complex, unlikable characters, but I found most of the characters incredibly boring, making the latter part of the book a slog to get through.
The ending??? It left me with more questions than answers. Overall, while the book's strangeness may appeal to some, definitely search up the trigger warnings.
