I can't quite articulate my feelings for this book. I mean, obviously, it's important. And I loved how it is speaking directly to girls and women. Sometimes, there are some empowering books that feel as if they're trying to walk a thin line in the middle, which is not something in today's climate. I wanted to cheer when she spoke directly to the audience about persistence.

Anyway, this was adorable and inspiring. I love that instead of Rosa Parks, Clinton spoke about the young girl who first refused to give up her seat, inspiring Parks later. I think the women could have been much more diverse, but maybe she'll do a second installment?

The illustrations were GORGEOUS. I loved the style and coloring; it was beautiful to just sit and look at.
