Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

5.0

I finished this book weeks ago but just didn't know how to review it.
It's such an amazing feeling when you read a book and you realize it's a new favorite of yours. Untouchable. (and a huge reading hangover ensues)

I picked up Anne of Green Gables on a complete whim, wanting to try a celebrity audiobook. Little did I know, I was going to be obsessed.

I absolutely adored the writing style. So whimsical, sweet and fairytale-esque. The characters were wonderfully fleshed out.
Frankly, I didn't think I'd even like this. It's a character-driven story following Anne and her small adventures, but I ended up loving Anne and her ridiculous chatter.

I see why some people wouldn't like it but I just loved e v e r y t h i n g.

GIVE ME A GILBERT BLYTHE OMG ONE OF THE BEST MALE LOVE INTERESTS IN HISTORY.
