Merit is struggling with her identity and makes the decision to go from a stay at home mom back to working in architecture. She is hired by Jane who in renowned in her field. Jane and Merit quickly become close friends on top of being employer and employee. After working together for a few years, Jane gets an offer she cannot refuse and strikes out on her own. With this news, Merit is heartbroken but the two are able to remain friends. On one of their visits Merit and Jane realize they have feelings for one another and their whirlwind romance ensues. I had no idea I was going to love this book as much as I did. I am grateful to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read it.
