This book starts out so normal and becomes so unhinged, I got whiplash. I love the snarky feminist anti-capitalist sociopolitical critique, the easy characterization, the realistic new-pandemic premise meets i queer heretical apocalyptic fantasy. I kinda
wanna be BFFs with this author. Bingeable.
But I have officially discovered I don't like body horror. It's just not for me (and I definitely shouldn't have listened to it lol), but it is super well done, so if you don't get grossed out easily, give it a go. But it's WEIRD weird, okay? Don't be fooled by the start 😂
