[ my first time writing a review so forgive me haha ]

I was honestly quite disappointed by this book. Like expected a lot more for the plot and everything ;-; I mean the plot twists were everything. They were awesome. I would have never expected them. Like at all. But for some reason the writing just didn’t sit right with me 😓

First of all, the overall storyline was beautiful. It’s original. It’s nice. And it would have been so much better had the writing been able to reach that standard that was required to make it a success :(

Personally, I would recommend reading the book for it’s overall plot rather than writing and well… romance :’( because honestly, I didn’t really feel the love? Like I get it’s a romance book and all, but I felt that the romance wasn’t well written. It just felt a little flat to me. I expected that heart-wrenching love that tugged at your heart [especially after this author duo’s amazing first book, Five Feet Apart :)] but like All This Time really didn’t live up to that. The romance between Kyle and Kelsey felt rather ungrounded. (Especially since their love wasn’t just some puppy love but was portrayed as something strong and binding and well, powerful — even though I didn’t see much strong romance scenes between them leading up to that)

SPOILER ALERT

Especially after Kyle discovers that Kelsey was telling him stories while he was in a coma, and then they two just end up in love? Like I get the love from Kyle’s end because everything felt real to him, but Kelsey? A girl in a hospital who has just been talking to a random patient who was asleep in his bed? I think there needed to be more scenes where Kelsey began to reciprocate the love from Kyle, because it just felt rather strange to me.

Anyways, overall? Nice plot. but… eh. I wasn’t really a big fan of this book’s writing style. As the plot progressed, I felt the writing became more and more… cringey? idk man I was cringing quite a bit towards the end ;-; sorry but that’s the truth

ALSO, the cover art is *chef’s kiss* amazing. Beautiful. I absolutely love it. Whoever made it (and Five Feet Apart’s one as well) needs a raise because damn, I’m in love with the cover.

But please, don’t take it that I didn’t enjoy reading this book. It was a fairly good read and I did enjoy some parts, but I just didn’t enjoy it as much as expected, that’s all. <3
