I picked this up right after visiting an aquarium and couldn't help but wonder if the octopus there was bored; in retrospect he probably was :( The portrayal of Tova's grief and simultaneously somehow pushing ahead with her life while also being stuck on that night really stuck with me. And when Cameron turned around his camper van and returned to the aquarium, I audibly gasped a sigh of relief! I really enjoyed the resolution; it didn't feel too fairytale picture-perfect nor cheesy. The descriptions of Sowell Bay and the PNW were so evocative. Can I also say I really want to tour Tova's home as well??
