Cinder by Marissa Meyer

5.0

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!
Cinder was an interesting take on the retelling of the classic tale of Cinderella and was a concept I haven't stumbled upon before. Cinder is a cyborg in New Beijing who lives with her step mother and two sisters all, expect of course peony, hate her because she is cyborg and "less than human". There is also a disease that is going around killing everybody and so cyborgs are being sent to be tested on because they are not as important as regular humans.

My favourite characters were; Cinder, Prince Kai and Iko. Cinder had interesting self dialogue and was an independent strong female character who I hope many teenagers will look up to instead of whiny pathetic characters like Bella from Twilight. Iko was obviously included for comic relief and I ended up becoming very fond of her. Prince Kai had all the qualities a decent male should have and was not a douche even though he was royalty.

I'm pretty tired and can't be bothered writing too much more but the only problem I had was that the plot was very predictable and I guessed a lot of the twists and turns that unfolded.

I really loved this book and will definitely be included into my favourites.
