Ugly Love
by Colleen Hoover
What a ride?
I have never read a book by Colleen Hoover until this book. I am glad I had a introduction to her through this book. It was so well put together and represented grief in such a great and sympathetic way.
Miles and Tate I knew were going to hit it off from the beginning due to there chemistry and more. However, I knew Tate had deep feelings for Miles as well at the start. She basically to me had a plan in order to make Miles fall in love with her which I don't believe in. When Miles kept pushing her away and she would get emotional I didn't understand it. She knew what he wanted and to me you can't make someone fall in love with you. But, I appreciated Tate having confidence and pushing and giving space when it was needed. I liked her as the herione and was glad to see her happy at the end.
Now Miles. Miles. Miles. Miles. He was great, but I knew something inside of him was hurting from his very first scene. I appreciate Colleen showing a man with emotions which is awesome. Men are often told they shouldn't express there feelings or more and be tough by keeping it in. But, Miles tried to do such and was killing him inside which eventually made him breakdown. I will say I didn't like the way his chapters were written because they were in a way comparable to a poem. I am glad he excepted at the end he deserves to be happy and loved. Him being able to be a father for the second time was amazing.
I would recommend this book. I gave it a 4.5/5 for multiple reasons I explained like Miles chapters and the way they were written. Plus the ending seemed kind of rushed. Apart from that the book was great
