The Devious Husband by Catharina Maura
3.0

I loved Xavier's character. Throughout the series, I loved Sierra's character as well. However, I expected a lot more defiance from her during this book. A lot of the conflicts Xavier and Sierra had (like the projects he "stole" from her), were just kind of swept under the rug. Other conflicts are ones we seen referenced in previous books. So while I enjoyed the characters themselves, I really felt like the story was all over the place in this one. The sneak peak we got of Sierra and Xavier in the previous book (Lex's book) was more exciting.

And Grandma. I really hated that woman after Luca's book. I have to admit she grew on me at some point, though and Xavier's lack of support during that situation should have also been a huge conflict between them.

I enjoyed the book, the banter between the two. I just expected more of it. It started out strong (with the tires) but really fizzled out after that.
