The Anti-Hero by Sara Cate
4.0

I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book. This is the first book in The Goode Brother series.

Sara Cate’s The Anti-Hero is a dark and intense exploration of love, redemption, and the complicated nature of morality. In a world where the lines between right and wrong are blurred, Cate introduces us to a protagonist who defies the traditional hero archetype, delivering a story that is as captivating as it is challenging.

The story centers around Adam, who embodies the term "anti-hero" to its fullest. He’s damaged, morally ambiguous, and often makes choices that leave you questioning your own sense of right and wrong. His world is turned upside down when the person he looked up to, his renowned father, Austin's prominent preacher, turns out to be a fraud, hypocrite, cheater, and liar. Adam is done being righteous.

Cate masterfully crafts his character with such depth and vulnerability that you can't help but be drawn into his world. You find yourself rooting for him, despite his flaws, which makes the reading experience all the more thrilling.

Sage is a bad girl in a good way. She is bad to his good. She is the one who turns him bad. With her pink hair, piercing, she is unlike anyone he has ever dated. Sage, with her book club, a dog, and sex club, was adorable.

The chemistry between them is electric, fueled by intense emotions and a tension that simmers on every page. The spice, steam, everything was smoking hot. My Kindle was burning up
