I enjoyed reading this book, although some of the components of it were lacking. I can't imagine a girl going through all the "training", physical and emotional abuse that the MC lives through and coming out as balanced and sane as she does. The only thing they had to deal with is her daughter wanting to sleep in the closet? Seems unrealistic. Also I did not like the mother's complicated entanglement with the policeman. It seemed an unnecessary, last minute addition to spice up the story. More character development would have greatly improved the story. Also... a long lost love triangle, reawakened? Is there some rule somewhere that ALL books must have a love triangle in them? I grow weary of them. Maybe I should change genres.
