Congo by Michael Crichton

2.0

Crichton slides back and forth between the novelist and the educator too often here, building up an adventure with characters too one dimensional, perhaps with the exception of a sign language fluent Gorilla. But it makes up for it with a trail of classic adventures set in the exotic land of Congo with cannibalistic natives, a lost city of diamonds and a malevolent force that threatens an expedition.
