Genuinely one of the best books I’ve read in a while. From beginning to end. It started off as a slow, lilting story about a community of marginalized people building their lives around one another—which I love. I love a character driven story. And by the time the plot kicked in, I was surprised but locked in. I read ready to learn every detail about these characters, which I did, but with the added layer of their struggles and triumphs. This review is not doing it justice but I also don’t want to give away anything. Just read it. You won’t regret it.
