truly loved reading this! the pacing is nice, the world is absolutely stunning (the magic is so dope?? and the island and just the whole how-the-world-works stuff?? 12/10)
for the plot and characters, there wasn't really any development, aside from Eva (love you, queen).
Lina is mspec, Eva is lesbian,

and they both (presumably) end up together, which is nice, even if

the romance... sadly comes short. perhaps my expectations were higher because it was marketed as a sapphic romance novel

but Lina spends most of the novel simping for the dude who is revealed to be a selfish asshole and yet she still trusted him?? insane but anyways
