I finally feel the book slump leaving my body with this one. I can always rely on Ana Huang to pull me out of my slump. I should’ve read this as soon as it came out and bit the bullet post-sunrise on the reaping. Ayana was amazing, Vuk was crazy and protective and loving in the best way, and their chemistry was off the charts. My only gripe with this was how the Jordan situation played out or even existed in the first place, and that Vuk and Ayana were pretty much insta-love (insta-lust at the very least). That’s why I can’t give them five stars, even if this is one of my fave Ana books .
