Another spectacular novel from Emily Henry!
Her unique mix of feet kicking romance and discussion of serious life issues.
In Book Lovers we explore writers block, grief, loss and especially the relationships between parents and their children. A heart wrenching character arch for our protagonist while she slowly realises that you don't need a happy ending, just a 'happy for now'.
I have definitely enjoyed a couple of Henry's other novels a touch more. The development of the romance was slightly off for me compared to Happy Place or Book Lovers, and the issues discussed in those books connected with me a bit more.
Overall, a beautiful story of a woman coming to terms with the death of her father and the lies he left her with, while fighting not to fall in love with her very sexy next door neighbour.
