I see this book getting mixed reviews and I think I understand why. This is not your mother’s Stephen King. Horror novels are apparently too easy for Mr King now, but his writing is so strong that he doesn’t need horror anymore to build amazing characters. If you are looking for Cujo, read his old canon. If you are looking for an author who has grown past all that, and you enjoyed 11/22/63, this is one amazing and heartbreaking ride.
