The Revenge Plot by Sienna Waters
5.0

Elizabeth’s husband of twelve years Eli has left with the latest of his girlfriends. After witnessing the public humiliation of Elizabeth, Poppy jumps in to help.
After a time of ‘will they, won’t they’, things happen between the women. But then there is Poppy thinking she couldn’t believe her luck - that’s usually the point when everything goes terribly wrong. Which it does, but not in the way I expected…
This is a lovely story of a revenge plot that goes rather wrong (or not so wrong, from Poppy’s point of view - she gets Elizabeth as a result) Coincidentally it has a similar storyline to another sapphic book recently released, which I will soon be reading.
This is well written, a good read, and the characters are very well realised. We get Elizabeth’s British stiff-upper-lip, and Poppy’s laid back vibe. Poppy’s need to help people comes through very strongly, making her a sweet, absolutely lovely person. Elizabeth is uptight at first, but becomes somebody we can understand later in the story.
A very British story, with so many little details of Britain, but as is common with Sienna Waters, it also has a strong connection to North America.
The ending was a little confusing, about who was living where when. But that is a minor thing.
Overall, a good read that I would heartily recommend.
