Hopeless Romantic
by Julie Capulet
fast-paced
This is pretty bad. The premise of the story is super fun and unique a great setup for an insta-love story, but that isn't at all what the story feels like to me. This feels like a stalker romance (and I like dark romance, but when that clearly isn't the aim it's a red flag), and somehow because he is hot/rich/famous it makes him stalking and 'protecting' her totally fine. This book just gave me a major case of the ick. The way this relationship is set up with Millie only being a freshman to his junior then all of his other privileged elements makes this relationship so high risk to become abusive. And while it's clear that isn't the author's intent for the couple the danger is there.
