I read this book right after the first one, and although I really wanted to like this, it was just nice. It has a nice plot, nice turning points, super cute romance, but I hadn't me wrapped around its finger.
With that being said I really appreciated two things: the first one being the description Carmen gives of her love for Dani:
“[...] I thought I had enough, before, that I didn’t need more, but then she looked at me and it was like turning the lights on in a dark room.” [...] “And now everything seems smaller, and dimmer, and I can’t turn the lights back off.”
And second, I loved the #girlpower we had towards the end, it didn't feel forced like it usually is.
Finally, the scene where Dani sucks the poison out of Carmen's wound gave me such Twilight vibes!!
