Good grief, this author sent my emotions off the charts. I’m literally shaking.
How utterly realistic the character of Jess is. A woman who’s been wronged, knows she’s been wronged, but still makes the attempt to put her pieces together the way they were.
And her friends. She definitely has found her tribe in the trio that not only backs her up, but supports her choices, even if they don’t agree with them.
And then Jack. I don’t know if I have enough words for him. I’m torn between his love for his wife and the completely despicable betrayals that we see over the course of the book.
Add in a menacing secret society, a third party to a love triangle, some mistresses and a gala or two and there’s enough happening to keep me occupied for days.
I really can’t wait for more from this author. If she got my blood pumping like this with him one, I can’t even imagine what I’m in for with the next.
