A Dedicated Friend by Shirley Longford

5.0

There's a hauntingly quiet darkness to this. It's not creepy in terms of ghosts or the supernatural, it's more the crushing inevitability of where it's going when the pieces of the puzzle slot into place. The claustrophobic feel of a hospital ward, and how it echoes Daisy's life, is really well done.

I'm so glad I backed the Kickstarter for the Eden Society!
