Beastly Bones by William Ritter
3.0
I think it's odd that when I finish these books (Jackaby and Beastly Bones), I realize how light they are. Really, there's not much depth to the whole thing, and I don't feel intensely drawn to Abbigail or her problems at all. And yet, when I look back at them, I think of them with fondness. I think it's the world that I like so much - the idea of a Sherlock Holmes-type character with paranormal abilities in a world where dragons, goblins and shapechangers are real is very appealing. I kind of wish someone else would take the same world and characters and do ... more with them. Ah well. I'll probably read the next in the series.
