Ich bin dann mal weg: Meine Reise auf dem Jakobsweg
by Hape Kerkeling
I'm not surprised that this book was so popular when it came out - sure, Kerkeling was already very popular, but this is such a middle of the road book that it's no wonder that many people bought it. And bought it as a gift for others. It's really an okay book that appeals to the people looking for ~some kind~ of spirituality in their lives. I believe Kerkeling was serious when doing his pilgrimage and writing this book, and I can respect him for that. I also believe, however, that a lot of people thought reading this book already was their pilgrimage, and I have trouble respecting them for that. In any case, I don't regret reading it, although I certainly wouldn't buy this one for myself or anyone else.
