I get the idea behind Bea's character, but the execution of it makes her really unlikable. We don't really see the moments where she cares about people and softens, we are just told that's what she has done in the past. She mostly expresses her care for others by yelling at them. But this makes her pretty intense and unlikable. I think her character needed a little more variation for her to seem real.

Also as someone who used to work with lawyers, Bea, a law school student, should know better about how lawyers actually work. This really frustrated me. It's called out once in the book, and then not really addressed later.
