[b:How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life|31202835|How to Be a Bawse A Guide to Conquering Life|Lilly Singh|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1475608021l/31202835._SY75_.jpg|51852063] is the second book I’ve picked up that’s written by a YouTuber—the first being Anna Akana’s So Much I Want to Tell You—and I’m once again pleasantly surprised by how well their online (video) presence translates into their words, and in this case, Lilly’s voice (on its own).

Lilly is unflinchingly Superwoman in her humor (some joke’s were a hit, some a miss with me), but overall I really appreciated how well she mixed her motivational and insightful messages with a spark of sass and a metaphorical wink at the camera.

“If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. You need to be around people who challenge you, intimidate you, and teach you new things.”
