I enjoy this series I really do but this book was such a snooze fest for me I seriously thought about abandoning it multiple times.
It has no substance. In my opinion Nino and Kiara did not need another book right after their book.
The whole thing just seems like a cash grab to me. The first half of the book is just a repeat of Remo and Serafina’s book but from Nino and Kiara’a eyes which is basically just sex scenes. Boring. Then we have the pregnancy plot which I felt wasn’t well developed and just seemed like here, here’s something new. The adoption plot, boring and predictable AF, what a convenient way to wrap up this plot. Then Kiara ends up pregnant and I genuinely felt nothing.
Honestly the most exciting part of the book was the Falcone mother escape plot and that unfortunately didn’t even show up until the book was mostly over and ended way too soon.
The highlights of this book were the other characters, not Nino and Kiara. I wanted more Remo and Fina and more Savio. And please for the love of god no more fight training scenes with the girls. This has been done to death in both this series and the Born in Blood series, it’s not sexy anymore and I literally skip multiple pages until it’s over.
