Purls and Potions
by Nancy Warren
Heading into the 6th book in less than 10 days, and here's why: While this series is not a literary masterpiece for the ages, it is a cute, comfy distraction while cleaning or crafting.
Is the premise weird? Heck yeah!
I mean, running your undead grandma's yarn store when you're hopeless as knitting? Whack.
Are some things a little too convenient or too reliant on a deus ex machina named Rafe? Yup!
And some serious S2 Buffy×Angel vibes.
Can I hang my disbelief on the coat hook while clearing the last decade and a half's questionable fashion out of my closet? Absolutely.
Is pretty much the entire series on audiobook available on Hoopla from the library? Yes, Indeed!
