The Locker Room by Meghan Quinn
3.0

I love college romances, sports romances and Meghan Quinn so this book was right up my alley.

I loved the two main characters. Knox and Emory were witty, and has a push and pull that burned so good. The secondary characters were all hilarious and lovable.

So why is this book three stars? I didn’t love the separation. Why? Not because I didn’t believe they should be separated, but because as hard as Knox fought for a chance to talk to Emory half of the time, I just don’t believe he would’ve given up so easily. I think he should’ve fought for her and won her back. At least quicker than eight years... and even then he didn’t really fight. It was all “chance”. Do I think Emory was in the right with what she did? No. I think being a mature adult means tough decisions but being a mature couple means making those tough decisions together. However where it lost me was how Knox accepted it and didn’t work day in and day out to change it.

This book had SO much potential but it just completely lost me at that point. I also thought the ending was abrupt... they barely know each other anymore but let’s check all the boxes for a “HEA”? These two things did not do the rest of this beautiful book justice.
