I'm not fully sure how to rate this book yet. I feel like it was a lot of setup for the next one/two. I did really enjoy reading it, especially in comparison to the last OV trilogy I read.
I wouldn't necessarily say that this book is dark on page (except for some on page not bloody very quick murders to get out victims). However, the dystopian aspect was very much what certain people wish our world to be (again). So, if you wish to escape misogyny and sexism, this one is not right for you.
I'm very happy with our FMC here. I feel like finding books with strong FMCs isn't the easiest (especially if you try to only read queer). And then a FMC that doesn't caveafter having sex is even bigger. Is there still chance for that to happen. Yes. But the last few pages gave me hope that even when they get together she'll stay the badass she is.
