What an incredible sequel to Ninth House! Hell Bent had all the grit and intrigue as the previous book, and was just as dark and mystical, but instead of feeling like a full-blown murder mystery this second installment felt more like a heist story. Which I personally love, because if Six of Crows proved anything, it's that Bardugo knows how to craft an amazing heist. The character development for every character was so well thought out and intriguing as well, and I really enjoyed getting to be with them again. Bardugo has such an incredible talent for complex and engaging stories that keep you hooked from page one. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

As always, please check trigger warnings for this series! The Alex Stern novels are heavy, dark, and fully adult novels, unlike Bardugo's YA Grishaverse series.
