Excellent start to this series! It can be hard to get a lot of angst and emotion into a novella but this was really well done. It had me staying up waaaay past my bedtime to read and that hasn’t happened in a while. I really like both Quentin and Madison, his nickname for her is so fuckin good btw. It was giving me James Dean/Rebel Without A Cause meets Nathan and Hailey in OTH. Which leads me into my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars… it was a little too insta lovey for my liking but I can understand the need for that given their age and the fact that this is a prequel novella to the main story. Definitely interested to see where this goes.
