Super great book! The character building is very strong, and the world is a great blend of old and new. I love how the narration just tickles on what the world was like before the Crossing, and it really builds suspense into the next book. I thought this book was YA but nope, DEFINITELY NOT YA. In case you were wondering. It’s even more apparent in book 2 that THIS IS NOT A YA SERIES.

Still excellent, though.
