Gone by James Patterson, Michael Ledwidge

4.0

I hadn't been impressed with a lot of Patterson's latest titles so I was surprised to enjoy this one. This book picks up where the book "I, Michael Bennett" leaves off. Manuel Perrine, a powerful drug lord, has escaped from custody and NYPD detective Michael Bennett and his 10 children are now on his hit list and they are moved into the witness protection program. This story picks up 9 months later with he and the kids going crazy on a dairy farm in California. Perrine starts taking out his contacts in the US in scary ways and still on the hunt for the Bennetts. Of course, Michael is called back to duty and away from his family to catch him.
