The Girl from Rawblood by Catriona Ward
In a fit of whimsy, I hereby announce I will give everyone five stars, but the reviews may not reflect it.
Born with a curse that leads to an early death for previous generations, Iris' father chooses to keep her close to home to try and extend her life. When she meets a boy and falls in love, circumstances begin to spiral out of control. The Girl from Rawblood is a gothic ghost story that moves slowly but is well written and maintains the interest throughout.
Not the author's finest, but worth checking out.
