The Facemaker: A Visionary Surgeon's Battle to Mend the Disfigured Soldiers of World War I by Lindsey Fitzharris

hopeful informative fast-paced

4.5

The book was interesting and well written. Sometimes the author would fill in chapters with history that only sort of needed to be told. It’s all important, but it felt like filler. Overall, it’s really cool to learn about a medical professional who not only cares about disabled people, but made an active effort to better their lives.
