Dr. Siri Paiboun has to be one of the more original detectives and the setting of Laos after the communist takeover is certainly unique as well. A fun mystery and supernatural horror combination, though with this series so far, one has to wonder if the good doctor is just a touch wacked and the ghoulies have more rational explanations. A fun read.
