Lost Connections: Why You're Depressed and How to Find Hope by Johann Hari
2.0
An attempt to add nuance to the often propagandised view on depression and mental illness in general — ie the one which goes on to say that depression is primarily a neurochemical imbalance and that pills are solution than a supplement.
Harri points out that Depression is a socio-cultural/neurological symptom of changing societal aspirations and work culture.
There are some areas where I find the book unconvincing: Parts where the book turns towards 'socialistic' solutions. One of the better works about depression that I've read, even though not the best.
