I really enjoyed this book. While dark romance is not a genre I read easily, due to showing some unpleasant themes, this one gave a heavy weight to the emotional development of both Damon and Penny, as they both struggled with their feelings for each other and their past.
There is action, and cameos from the first series. Despite it's alost short length, the story feels complete and gives a satisfied ending to all the characters.
